Another issue, more boring, is when the name of the shared volume changes from /Volume/Capsule to /Volume/Capsule-1. ![]() I lose the connection with the NAS from time to time and cannot access the files without getting back to the finder and reconnecting to it. I'm facing some issues, independent from the Time Capsule itself. I wait for the next release of Plex to get the ability to share the database. Let us know what you decided to buy! (with links to reviews) Personally I know quite some people who love these 2 brands with all of their features. If you need less features look at the TS-219 or TS-419 models. I have read a lot about different NAS models as it's on my wishlist -) Want features but pay more? -QNAP (2 drives enough: TS-239, for 4 drives TS-439) -Synology Both support Apple Time Machine, iTunes and TONS of other features. I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the HP MediaSmart. Buy a Used 'HP EX490 1TB Mediasmart Home Server. Install Microsoft Windows 2003/08 Server.
